About the Event

Worcester Cares About Recovery Walk 2023

Yes To Recovery, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals recover from addiction, is excited to announce our 2nd annual Walk for Recovery! This event is a great opportunity for individuals, families, and communities to come together and raise awareness about addiction and recovery.

The FREE event will take place on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, from 11am-3pm, at Institute Park in Worcester.  Featuring Music, Food, Activities, as well as guest speakers and informational booths from local organizations that provide resources and support for addiction recovery.

Last year's event was a huge success, with hundreds of participants walking to support the recovery community in Worcester. Raising awareness to the various pathways to recovery and helping to end the stigma. This year, Yes To Recovery hopes to build on that success and continue to raise awareness about the importance of addiction recovery.

All are welcome to attend the Walk for Recovery, and free registration is now open on the Yes To Recovery website. Whether you have been personally affected by addiction or simply want to show your support for those who have, we hope to see you there! Let's come together to make a difference and show that recovery is possible!

On behalf of the board of directors at "Yes To Recovery", we would like to thank you for your support and participation at last years Recovery Walk.

Hundreds of people representing the many faces of recovery showed up and walked alongside our Co-Chairs District Attorney Joe Early and Dr. Mattei Castiel.

This years event is Chaired by: MA State Representative Jimmy O'Day.  Jimmy has been a longtime advocate for the Worcester recovery community continually pushing for increased access to treatment and ending the Stigma around those suffering from Substance Use Disorders.

It takes a truly collaborative effort from the recovery community, treatment agencies, families of those in recovery, elected and appointed officials to combat the deadly disease of addiction and promote a drug-free lifestyle for those seeking it. Our Recovery Walk was instrumental in displaying that in public.

We hope to see you all!

Sincerely,

Robert F. Pezzella
